The Waldoboro United Methodist Church, 93 Friendship St. is participating in Waldoboro Day activities, Saturday, June 15.

From 7 to 9 a.m., a pancake breakfast will be held in the church vestry, featuring plain pancakes, blueberry with strawberries and whipped cream topping. Maple syrup will be provided. Also, french toast, bacon, coffee, tea and juices. Cost is $5 per person.

The church will have a table in front of the Sproul Block, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Everything on the table will be free including Bibles donated by the Gideon Society and others, church pamphlets, pens, little flashlights, horns, toys and candies. A container will be provided for prayer requests (confidential). Free face painting, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Linda Papineau and Bonnie Penney will drive the church float in the parade depicting a five-masted schooner built in Waldoboro in years past. The theme of the float is Catch the Wave of Faith with a verse from Matthew 4:19 – "Follow Me And I Will Make You Fishers of Men".

A celebration of the festivities on Waldoboro Day will include the Broad Bay Congregational Church and the Waldoboro United Methodist Church with a two minute bell ringing at noon. Juliana Blackler will ring the bell for the methodist church.
