Several roads in the downtown Waldoboro area will be closed on Saturday, June 15th to accommodate Waldoboro Day activities.

Friendship Street (Route 220) will be closed in front of the Sproul Block from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Traffic will be diverted onto Pleasant Street. There is no parking on Pleasant Street.

To allow for the parade and other activities, Jefferson Street will be closed from School Street to Main Street and Main Street will be closed from Pleasant Street to the parking lot behind Community Pharmacy from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. Glidden Street will be blocked at Main Street all day.

Mill Street will be closed during the parade (9:30 to 11 a.m.). Philbrook Street will be closed for the fireworks (which take place on Philbrook Field behind the YMCA). There will be restricted access to the Pine Street/Medomak Terrace area via Main Street from 9:30 a.m. to about 1:30 p.m.

Motorists are asked to exercise extreme caution due to the high volume of pedestrian traffic. Please plan on arriving early for the parade due to the limited parking. For more information on Waldoboro Day activities, contact Caren Clark at 832-0633.
