Join the staff of Aldermere Farm and the Erickson Fields Preserve, two preserves in Rockport, Thursday, June 20 at 5:30 p.m., downstairs at the Rockport Opera House, to learn more about all the different volunteer opportunities there are at these two landmarks in the area.

This will be an evening of learning and celebrating for new and returning volunteers. Staff will speak about the history of these properties and about the current happenings, but regular volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions and tell people what they like about volunteering at Aldermere and Erickson.

Details on what volunteer opportunities there are for the summer and throughout the year will also be available. The greatest need currently for Aldermere Farm is for regular once-a-week volunteers to staff their visitor’s center, and for Erickson Fields needs include site maintenance such as mowing and planting and maintaining flower beds. There are, however, many other volunteer opportunities of which change with each season.

Please attend whether you know that you already want to volunteer or have just been thinking about it. At this event, folks will learn and understand more about the inner workings of these two conserved farms. Light appetizers will be available. For more information, contact the Aldermere Farm Program Coordinator Amy Sabaka at asabaka@mcht.org or 236-2739.
