Lee Gabriel and Vincent Gabriel are presenting their art work through the month of June at Camden National Bank, corner of Park and Main streets.

Lee currently uses acrylics and gold or silver leaf to interpret the flash of light on water in Midcoast landscapes. She is a former pilot, and some views are from an aerial perspective. Her work has been shown in local and national galleries and is in many collections.

Vincent, who performs as Blind Albert, has created Jane’s Legacy Art and Design to honor his mother, an artist who recently died due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

“Art and painting was something I dabbled in over the years, but it was never something I took seriously, until my mother passed away,” Vincent said.

After returning home to Maine from her funeral in California, he said he experienced a lot of turmoil and depression and turned to art to help work through the grieving process.

“I started painting on an iPad. I had no idea that this was going to open a new chapter in my life,” he said, adding he believes this new direction is “a gift from my mother.”
