Camden National Bank will celebrate its customers as well as its history as an independent, Maine-based community bank Friday, June 14.

Customers are invited to join the Community Banking Day celebration and enjoy festivities and refreshments at the Belfast, Belfast Plaza, Camden, Camden Square, Damariscotta, Rockland, Thomaston, Union, Vinalhaven and Waldoboro locations.

“Community Banking Day gives us a chance to show our appreciation and thanks to our customers by hosting a day of celebration,” said Greg Dufour, president and chief executive officer of Camden National Bank, in a news release. “We’ll also be sponsoring a food drive for local food pantries and invite our customers as well as all members of the community to bring in non-perishable food items to their local branch.”

As a community bank, Camden National is headquartered and operated by people within the areas it serves. With a long-standing commitment to enriching the lives of Maine people, helping businesses succeed, and vitalizing local communities, Camden National’s Community Banking Day celebration is focused on thanking and giving back to the customers and communities whose continued support makes the bank’s independence possible.

As a way of thanking customers, each branch will hold a raffle for a $100 VISA gift card while making a matching $100 donation to a local food pantry in the winner’s name. Camden National will continue to hold celebrations throughout the summer and fall at its other locations.
