For a child with a life-threatening medical condition, the road ahead can seem very daunting.

Thanks to the help of so many caring individuals, more children who find themselves in this difficult place will have a chance to see their wish come true. Make-A-Wish Maine recently held its Walk For Wishes events in seven locations across the state, and saw immense support. With donations totaling more than $90,000, Make-A-Wish, the people of Maine showed their generosity yet again.

The Walk For Wishes event was held in Portland, Saco, Rockland, Bangor, Dennysville, Augusta and Auburn. With the helpful support of all involved, the Make-A-Wish Maine chapter is able to fund 15 more wishes. In addition to local location sponsorship and support, Spectrum Medical Group and Trusted Choice sponsored the event for the whole state.

The Rockland community has been a strong supporter of Make-A-Wish, and has showed their dedication yet again this year. Make-A-Wish held its Walk For Wishes in Rockland recently, and the community raised more than $15,800 with the OB Wish Team leading the way with $8,421 in pledges and donations, more than enough to grant an entire wish to a Maine child.

Make-A-Wish is grateful for additional support from Shaw’s Supermarket, Hannaford, Dominos, Rockland Congregational Church, Fresh Off The Farm, Reade Brower, Rockland Fire Department, Sugar Tree, Camden National Bank, Cole Barbour and Aaron Clarke, and Denise and Bethany Clough.
