“Undersea World” opens this week at the Tidemark Gallery, 902 Main St./Route 220, with fresh, new oil paintings and pastels by Waldoboro artist Chris Augusta. The village gallery will host a public opening reception Saturday, June 8, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Trained by his professional artist father and informed by a career in marine biology research, Augusta brings a brilliant array of observation, originality, humor and color together in his art.

This show can be seen along with new paintings, photo prints, drawings, pottery, jewelry, iron work and books by Tidemark members and other local artists during regular gallery hours: Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 832-5109 or visit tidemarkgallery.com.
