The newly established Lincolnville Center Flea Market will be held Saturday, June 15, continuing the third Saturday of each month schedule.

The doors will open at 8 a.m. and the market will run to noon. The market is held in the Community Building, located at 18 Searsmont Road, Route 173, in Lincolnville Center.

This event is sponsored by the United Christian Church who became owners of the building five years ago. The building was constructed in the late '60s as the school gymnasium. Since it was built on church land the deed stimulated the building return to the church if the school no longer had use for it. The flea market is an effort to make the building self-sustaining and available to the community. Market organizers were very pleased with the favorable response to their first efforts in May. Customers and vendors alike said they felt it was organized, well supported, and a clean and cheery space.

Vendors will be selling a wide variety of merchandise including antiques, collectibles, handcrafted baskets, books, household and gardening items. The church will have several tables of donated items for sale. This month the theme is Summer Fun offering recreational and gardening items for sale. To donate items for the church to sell please call Roberta Heald at 763-3266. To rent a table please contact Mary Schulien at 785-3521.
