Waldoboro officers responded to 176 calls for service from May 21 to May 28. Below are a few of the highlights.

May 21

Officer Jeremy Joslyn arrested Mark Fowler, 18, of Waldoboro for a violation of conditional release and theft

May 22

Officer John Lash investigated a report from Maine Eastern Railroad of stolen metal.

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a report from Alan Dever of the theft of a catalytic converter ($100 value) from his motor vehicle.

Bartunek summoned a 14-year-old male, of Waldoboro for domestic assault.

May 23

Lash summoned Erek Sherin, 43, of Washington for speed.

Lash and Bartunek investigated a report from Chester Colby of burglary with approximately $1,975 worth of items taken.

May 24

Detective Jason Benefield investigated a report of the theft of a laptop from a motor vehicle.

Lash investigated a crash on the Atlantic Highway at 3:58 p.m. Kyna Kindell, 40, of Bremen was driving a 2011 Toyota van south on Atlantic Highway when she struck Mark Segar, 64, of Portland who was driving a 2012 Subaru passenger car. This caused Segar to then rear-end Candace Paiva, 49, of Dresden who was driving a 2010 Hyundai utility vehicle. No injuries were reported.

May 27

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report from the Moose Crossing of the theft of soil.

Bartunek arrested Jessica Swearingen, 30, of Waldoboro for operating after suspension.
