Studio RED will present “Let it Grow,” its annual dance showcase, Friday and Saturday, May 24 and 25, at the Strom Auditorium of Camden Hills Regional High School, Route 90. Performances will be Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Studio RED, an 150-member dance company based out of Rockland, serves Midcoast families from Camden, Lincolnville, Port Clyde, Rockland, Waldoboro and surrounding communities. An array of talented young performers ranging in age from 18 months to pre-professional will grace the stage in various dance genres including, ballet, tap, hip-hop, acro, pointe, jazz and modern.

Studio RED is proud to introduce the award-winning competitive dance team to the stage for their first local performance this season.  The Competitive Dance Team numbers “I Walk the Line” and “Lime in the Coconut” won first place overall awards at the Dancer’s Inc Competition in Portsmouth, N.H. The Team also had dances awarded second, third, fourth, seventh and numerous Judges Special Awards.

“Let it Grow,” is hosting choreographers Gretchen Henderson (tap), Hanna DeHoff (modern), Vanessa Knause (ballet, acro, jazz), Katie Thompson (hip-hop and BoyZ Dance) and Lauren Zontini (hip-hop). The performance is a family-friendly event sure to entertain the performing arts enthusiast of any age. Tickets can be purchased at Studio RED, 16 School St. in Rockland, for $10 or at the door for $15.
