Waldoboro officers responded to 212 calls for service May 13-21. Below are a few of the highlights:

May 13

Officer Jeffery Fuller arrested Deborah Winchenbach, 52, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a crash at 4:37 p.m. at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Atlantic Highway. Paul Ward Jr., 19, of Waldoboro, was driving a 1995 Ford sedan when he attempted to cross the intersection and failed to see Linda Bonenfant, 59, of Warren, traveling south in a 2000 Buick sedan. Bonenfant struck Ward in the passenger side. No injuries were reported.

Officer Jeremy Joslyn investigated a crash on Friendship Road at 8:48 p.m. Mary Genthner, 63, of Friendship, was traveling south on Friendship Road in a 2001 Pontiac sedan when a deer came out into the road. No injuries were sustained.

May 14

Officer Thomas Hoepner summoned a 14-year-old male for assault.

Hoepner summoned a 17-year-old female for assault

Hoepner summoned a 13-year-old male for assault.

Joslyn summoned Josephine Patterson, 31, of Rockport, for speed and failure to provide proof of insurance.

May 15

Chief William Labombarde investigated a harassment complaint.

Hoepner investigated a criminal mischief complaint of damage done to a motor vehicle in the parking lot at Medomak Valley High School.

Officer John Lash summoned Dalton Reed, 16, of Warren, for carrying a passenger beyond interim license restriction.

May 16

Bartunek arrested Shawn Day, 19, of Nobleboro, for a violation of conditional release.

Bartunek arrested Courtney Flint, 20, of Nobleboro, for unlawful possession of scheduled drug, violation of condition of release, and a warrant.

May 17

Lash summoned Robert Pellegrino, 56, of Connecticut, for speed.

May 18

Fuller investigated a report from Dunkin' Donuts of criminal mischief to their parking lot.

Fuller arrested Earl Leathers, 27, of Waldoboro, for domestic violence assault.

Fuller investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $33 gas drive off.

May 19

Officer Fuller investigated a crash at the intersection of Main Street and Kaler’s Corner at 10:04 a.m. Leroy Turner, 71, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2010 Dodge pickup when he was struck by Donald Parsons, 59, of Massachusetts, who failed to yield the right of way in his 2013 Honda sedan. No injuries were sustained.

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $54.89 gas drive off.

May 20

Fuller investigated a report from Eric Prock of the theft of gasoline.

May 24

Detective Jason Benefield summoned Mary Sidelinger, 56, of Waldoboro, for negotiating a worthless instrument.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
