Liza Gardner Walsh will launch a new fairy book Saturday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Owl & Turtle Bookshop, 33 Bay View St..

Walsh’s “Fairy House Handbook” captured the magical world of fairy houses, sharing fairy lore, fairy do’s and don'ts and fairy wisdom. In her new book, “Fairy Garden Handbook,” she brings this magical world to life in a friendly, how-to book for parents and children that combines a love of gardening with the wonder of fairy lore. The new book is filled with information for beginning gardeners working to create their own magical fairy gardens that are just the right size for fairies; and butterfly and hummingbird gardens to attract the flying friends of fairies.

Walsh of Camden has worked as a children's librarian at Rockport Public Library, a high school English teacher, writing tutor and museum educator; and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College. She will be conducting a fairy garden workshop and signing copies of both of her books at the Memorial Day weekend event for the whole family.
