On Tuesday May 21, at 7 p.m. at the Hope Corner Fire Station, Colleen Kreps will speak on Gardening with Perennials: A Full Season of Color with hints and suggestions for plants that provide continuous color throughout the season.

She is a lifelong gardener with a particular passion for herbaceous perennials in Midcoast gardens.

Since 2002, Kreps and husband Jonathan have operated Perennial Favorites, which features a wide variety of hardy perennials, all grown and over-wintered at the nursery, 571 Peabody Road in Appleton, 785-2210.

The meeting will be held at the Hope Corner Fire Station behind the Hope Historical Home on Route 105.

Like all meetings of Hope Historical, this one is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
