Fawcett’s Maine Antique Toy & Art Museum on Route 1 will open for its 17th season Saturday, May 25. This year, with the release of the new "Lone Ranger" film, the museum will display the finest collection of original "Lone Ranger" art in the United States.

Viewers can return to those thrilling days of yesteryear, thanks to original paintings by H.J. Ward, Wendell Minor, Ernest Nordli, Don Spaulding and Charles Steinbacher; and original newspaper comic strip art by Charles Flanders. The museum also will display the original mask and Western clothing worn by Clayton Moore, television’s Lone Ranger; and Brace Beemer, radio’s Lone Ranger. Vintage 1930s Lone Ranger radios, premiums, pistols, dolls, toys and books also will be shown this summer.

Everyone is invited to bring parents and grandparents to see the finest collection of comic and cowboy character toys and original cartoon and animation art on public display anywhere in the United States. For more information, call 832-7398 before 8 p.m.
