Friends, family, and fellow townspeople gathered April 26 at The Hahn Community Center in Friendship for a benefit supper to honor Wesley A. Lash.

Lash died unexpectedly March 25. He was the owner of Lash Brothers Boatyard and longtime resident of Friendship. He had served as fire chief for 10 years, and also served on the board of selectmen for two terms.

A dessert auction followed the potluck supper, with all proceeds going to benefit the Lash family. Over 200 people attended the event.
