Stanley W. Klock, 73, died April 24, 2013 in Mesa, Ariz.

Mr. Klock was born in Manchester, Conn. Nov. 5, 1939. He lived in Manchester during his younger years then relocating to Cheshire, Conn. before moving to Warren in the late 1980s and then to Mesa, Ariz. in the late 1990s.

Stanley attended the University of Hartford receiving a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering prior to being employed by the Bristol Company in Waterbury, Conn. Stanley, K1EHO, was very active in the ham radio community often volunteering in times of natural disasters. In recent years Stanley was very active in the Coast Guard Reserve assisting the Coast Guard with its Homeland Security efforts.

Survivors include his wife of six years, Mary Klock; son’s Dexter and Douglas and five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Shelby, Tanner, Sheridan and Dexter; and brother Peter Klock. Stanley was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Winfield Klock Jr. (Brothie) and his brother Stephen Klock.

A memorial service will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040, 860-643-2441 on Sunday, May 12, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to your local SPCA as Stanley was an avid dog lover.
