Camden Hills Regional High School has announced its top scholars for 2012-2013.

Sarah Scott is valedictorian of the class of 2013. She plans to attend Middlebury College in Vermont to pursue a degree in linguistics. Sarah Mayberry, 2013 salutatorian, plans to attend Brandeis University in Massachusetts and study biology.

The top 10 percent of the graduating class of 2013, in no particular order, includes Alex Wilder, Cole Ellison, James O'Connor, Will Conover, Gabe Doble, Calvin Robbins, Sarah Mayberry, Eben Kopp, Alice Richardson, Camilla Walker, Autumn Coyle, Alex Crans, Sarah Scott, Chelsea Hunter and Elazar Allwine.

Seniors James O'Connor and Alden Parker are 2013 National Merit Finalists and are eligible to compete for the approximately 8,300 scholarships that will be awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

In addition, both O'Connor and Parker have been named as U.S. Presidential Scholars and are eligible to be chosen to represent Maine in Washington, D.C. in June. O'Connor plans to attend Amherst College in Massachusetts and pursue a degree in education and Parker plans to attend Middlebury College in Vermont.

Juniors Max Geffken, Clark Thomas, Kiera Haining, Crockett Lalor, Jack Orne, Sean Peirce and Duncan Hall are National Merit Qualifiers for 2013. These juniors are among the top 50,000 highest scoring participants out of 1.5 million program entrants.
