Glenn M. Desmond Jr., 83, of Rockport passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Augusta after living a full and rewarding life.

Glenn was born in 1929 in Beverly Hills to the late Glenn and Leona Desmond. After graduating from Principia College in 1952, he married his college sweetheart, Marilyn Heuslein, and had two daughters. Glenn was a consummate entrepreneur, starting successful real estate and business appraisal firms in Maine and Los Angeles. He authored numerous books on business valuation and became one of the preeminent expert witnesses on business damages in the country. Glenn and his wife Martha took the trip of a lifetime on the Orient Express through Moscow, ultimately publishing a book on their adventure. After retiring, Glenn settled in Maine where he enjoyed kayaking, painting and writing. His extraordinary work ethic, love of family and dedication to his church defined his life. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jo Desmond, his two loving daughters, Donna Desmond and Carol Desmond-Donohue, his son-in-laws, Dan Maccabee and Steve Donohue, and three grandchildren, Jason Maccabee, Samantha Maccabee and Travis Donohue.
