A Wiscasset man was arrested April 25 following the work of five Midcoast police agencies to detain him.

James Clark, 37, is charged with domestic violence assault, criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, violating conditions of release, operating after habitual offender revocation, and operating under the influence, according to Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison.

Clark is held at Knox County Jail on $10,000 cash bail with no surety.

The assault, which occurred in Warren, was reported to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

After assaulting a woman, Clark then allegedly stole a Dodge Neon from the Odd Fellows Hall parking lot in Warren, said Dennsion.

Multiple agencies were then called when the car was reported missing.

A short time later, police found the vehicle crashed in Waldoboro, Dennsion said.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office, Waldoboro police, Wiscasset police, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, and the Maine State Police K-9 unit responded to the incident.
