Deven D. Drossel, 48, of Hope, died Friday, April 19, 2013, in Lincolnville. Born in Santa Barbara, Calif., he was the son of Erwin E. and Deloris (Morgan) Drossel. After high school graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. His employment included Maine General Hospital in Augusta, where he had worked as a security guard, and Windward Gardens in Camden where he worked as a cook. For the past three years, Deven resided in Hope.
Surviving are his parents, Erwin and Deloris Drossel of Califonia; his two daughters, Jillian Drossel and Katherine Drossel of Gardiner; his fiancé Corinna Hersey of Hope; two brothers, Dirk Drossel and Darin Drossel; sister Deanne Widmark; three nephews, Erich Drossel, Patrick Drossel and Dennis Widmark; and niece Daria Widmark, all of California.
Calling hours will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St., Camden. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Knox County, P.O.
