Babe Ruth baseball tryouts for the Rockland Café and Georges Valley teams will be Saturday, May 4 in Rockland and Thomaston.

The two squads, members of the Midcoast Babe Ruth League, include the youngsters who make up the towns that feed Regional School Unit 13.

The Babe Ruth teams are players ages 13-15.

Tryouts for the Rockland Café squad, coached by Rich Mazurek, will be Saturday, May 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Morrill Field on Thomaston Street in Rockland. Youngsters from Rockland, Owls Head and South Thomaston will play on that team.

Tryouts for the Georges Valley team, coached by Matt Shields, will be Saturday, May 4 at 4 p.m. at the Oceanside High School field in Thomaston. Youngsters from Thomaston, Cushing and St. George will play on that team.

Boys ages 13-15 born on or after May 1, 1997 are eligible to participate.
