The Oceanside girls lacrosse team has forged to a 4-5 overall record this spring, including a 2-2 mark in regular non-tournament settings.

The Mariners, a club team for the second straight year and who will be full-fledged varsity next spring, lost two matches during school vacation week.

Mariner coach Angie Vachon said the team was without seven team members during school vacation, thus it was "tough week on the road."

Oceanside lost to Hyde School of Bath 9-4 on Wednesday, April 17. For the Mariners, Lily Vachon tallied three goals, Sydney Brooks a goal and an assist and Alexis Pine an assist. Jalynn Hurd made nine saves in goal for the Mariners.

Oceanside also lost to Messalonskee of Oakland 13-4 on Friday, April 19 at Thomas College in Waterville. Lily Vachon paced the Mariners with two goals and two assists, while Brooks added a goal and assist and Rebecca Freeman one goal. Hurd made six saves in goal.
