Isabel Mary Miller, 93, died April 15, 2013 at Quarry Hill in Camden.

She was born Nov. 18,1919 in Bath to Earl Noyes and Ellen Briggs Noyes. She worked at Bath Iron Works during World War II as a welder. She lived in Old Town before getting married to Rupert Miller.

They raised their family in Belfast. She worked at the Belfast Poultry Plant for many years until she retired. She also took care of her sister-in-law’s children in Connecticut.

She enjoyed canning, and cooking, especially Quohog fritters. She was very particular when she cooked, “everything had to be just right.” She moved to Rockport to help take care of her daughter, Janice, who had lupus. She lived with the family until she moved into Quarry Hill in Camden.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rupert Miller; daughter, Janice Bennett; sister, Priscilla; brother, Joey; and great grandson, Ryley Thomas.

The family is very thankful for all of the loving care she received while living at Quarry Hill.

She is survived by her son-in-law, William Bennett and his wife Debra of Augusta; granddaughters, Cindy Thomas and her husband Russell of Appleton, Tracy Ames and her husband Marshal of Northaven; great-grandchildren, Makyna Thomas of Appleton; Ashlynn Ames, Kaylee Ames, and Jack Ames, all of North Haven; daughter, Sharon Starr and her husband George of Florida; grandchildren, Eric, Rachel and Ethan Starr, all of Florida.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at East Union Cemetery in East Union. Rev. George Hodgkins will officiate. Contributions in Isabel’s memory may be made to Quarry Hill, Activity Department, 30 Community Drive, Camden 04843.
