The following is a synopsis of the 2013 Camden Hills Regional High School track-and-field team:

Coach/years coached current team: Sarah Mismash (third year) and Helen Bonzi (first year).

Last year's record/playoff information: The Camden Hills boys finished seventh (33 points) in the state Class B championships and third (61 points) at the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B championships The Camden Hills girls finished 24th (2 points) in the state Class B championships and 10th (22 points) in the KVAC Class B championships.

Roster: Seniors Chris Barrows, Peter Gimlewicz, Carman Lamb, Emily Lopez, Annalaura Paraluppi and Emily Smith; juniors Brittany Bowman, Jacob Corney, Martin Farrell, Joshua Heanssler, Brian Jones, Lily Kassen, Chapin Lamont, Biz Pree, A.J. Silverton, Ben Trapani, Alice Wang and Kaitlyn York; sophomores Helen Carter, Sam Ellis, Josiah Farrell, Justin Lopez, Mark McCluskey, Eli McCusker, Sean Mellon, Katie Moody, Lydia Morin, Colt Muir, Willow Parker, Rachel Pease, Ella Scott, Wyatt Summers and Adam Throne; and freshmen Eliza Boetsch, Alex Copeland, Elizabeth Cummons, Emma Gutheinz, Lydia Hill, Melissa Kessel, Mirelle Lafreniere, Bridget Miller, Lizzi Ogle, Nick Rozsahegyi, Eli Smith, Alex Winn, Keeli Wood and Brynne Wrona,

Outlook: The Windjammers appear ahead of the curve in both the number of student-athletes and the talents they possess. Camden Hills boasts its largest team in four years and return six state qualifiers (Trapani, Lamont, Lopez, Scott, Farrell and Pree) from nine events last season. Mismash said Bowman, Heanssler and Kessel could be poised to qualify for the state championships this season as well.

"We have so many members of our team with an incredibly strong work ethic and passion for the sport that we are hoping for our strongest team showing in years," Mismash said.
