A Georgia man is being held on $5,000 cash bail for hitting, headbutting and threatening to kill a woman in Hope.
Knox County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Palmer and Deputy Paul Pinkham went to a residence on Hatchet Mountain Road March 30 regarding information they received about a domestic violence case, according to a press release from Chief Deputy Tim Carroll.
After interviewing the female victim, Palmer arrested Billy W. Pritchard of Rockmort, Ga. for domestic violence assault and domestic terrorizing, according to the news release.
The victim said he had hit her multiple times, and had headbutted her. She refused medical attention, according to a police report.
Pritchard had also been armed with a kitchen knife in the living room, according to court documents.
Pritchard has three prior convictions of simple battery family violence from Polk County, Ga, according to court documents.
He is expected to appear in court May 29.
