Washington held formal elections March 29, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Bryant Community Room of the Gibbs Library.

There are 20 articles to be voted on by secret ballot, one asking residents to exempt eligible active duty military personnel from vehicle excise tax.

Incumbent Selectman Wesley Daniel is running uncontested for the open three-year seat. School board member Dean Donaghy is on the ballot for the term that will expire in 2015.

Town meeting will be held Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at Prescott Memorial School. There are 29 articles on the warrant to be acted on.

Washington currently has 1,199 registered voters of 1,525 residents.
