105.5 FRANK FM (WBYA-FM, Islesboro), a member of the Binnie Media family of radio stations, has reached an agreement to bring Boston Red Sox baseball back to Midcoast radio for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

105.5 FRANK FM will air all 162 regular-season games along, with all playoff games should the Sox qualify for postseason play.

The first broadcast will be on Monday, April 1 as the Red Sox open the 2013 season against the rival New York Yankees at 1:05 p.m. in New York.

“We’re excited to add Red Sox baseball to our schedule of local programming," said Pat Collins, vice president of operations for Binnie Media New England, which owns and operates 17 radio stations in Maine and New Hampshire.

“The Red Sox are part of the New England fabric and we are very happy that thousands of local fans will be able to hear all of the games no matter where they are in the region.”

105.5 FRANK FM, the Midcoast home for classic hits, will air the games in FM stereo, giving fans a clear, crisp sound as they enjoy broadcasters Dave O’Brien and Joe Castiglione, who call the games.

105.5 FRANK FM also has been the Midcoast's exclusive home for high school basketball since 2010.
