A Rockport man has been charged for sex crimes following an investigation by Maine State Police.
Arthur R. Dodge Jr., 54, is charged with one count of gross sexual assault and one count of unlawful sexual contact.
Dodge was arrested March 21 after investigators interviewed the victim — a female under the age of 12 — executed a search warrant at Dodge's home, and tested DNA evidence, according to court documents.
The incidents occurred in November 2011, according to court documents.
Dodge has several convictions, including a 1989 felony conviction for unlawful sexual contact.
Dodge made an initial appearance in Knox County Superior Court Friday, March 22.
His bail was set at $50,000 cash by Justice Sparaco. He is expected to appear in court again May 29.
