The Knox-Lincoln-Waldo Umpire (KLW) Association is accepting new members to provide quality umpiring at the middle and high school levels for baseball and softball.
Potential umpires must provide a background check and have reliable transportation. Training and education is provided by veteran umpires using hands-on, online and written self-study courses.
New member clinics for softball umpires will be Tuesdays, March 26 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Miles Hospice Building in Damariscotta, while new member clinics for baseball umpires will be Wednesdays, March 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Medomak Middle School in Waldoboro.
