After a brilliant season on the ice, which included a 12-game win streak to start the campaign, a league title and a trip to the regional championship game, several Camden Hills Regional High School ice hockey players, along with their coach, were honored March 17 at the Class B West High School Awards Dinner in Portland.

Windjammers Jack Orne, Cal Robbins, Grayson Szumilas, Stephen Hand, James Annis, Jet Magri and coach Karl Enroth were honored with various league awards based on their strong 2012-13 season, which finished at 16-5 overall despite half of the 20-player team being freshmen.

The following is a recap of those awards:

Orne, a junior forward, was named first-team all-conference, compiling 42 points (21 goals, 21 assists) during the regular season, along with six points (4 goals, 2 assists) in the playoffs. He also was named forward of the month for Class B West in December.

Robbins, a senior defenseman, was named first-team all-conference, compiling 23 points (4 goals, 19 assists), along with one point (assist) in the playoffs. He led Class B West defensemen in scoring and also won the Hobey Baker Character Award.

Szumilas, a junior forward, was named second-team all-conference, compiling 41 points (21 goals, 20 assists) in the regular season, along with six points (3 goals, 3 assists) during the playoffs. He scored the game-winning goal in overtime in a Jan. 19 victory over Cape Elizabeth.

Hand, a senior forward, was named second-team all-conference, compiling 35 points (22 goals, 13 assists) in the regular season, along with one point (assist) in the playoffs. He led the Windjammers in goals and was named to the Class B West senior all-star team.

Annis, a sophomore forward, was named honorable mention, compiling 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in the regular season, along with one point (assist) in the playoffs. He scored the game-winning goal in double-overtime against Messalonskee of Oakland in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B championship game.

Magri, a freshman goalie, was named honorable mention, earning a goals-against average of 3.00 and a save percentage of 88 percent. He also was 1-1 in the playoffs with a save percentage of 83 percent. He was named Class B West rookie of the month for December with a 4-0 record, a 2.00 GAA and an 89 percent save percentage.

Enroth, the head coach, was named Class B West coach of the year with the Windjammers finishing the regular season with a 14-4 record, winning the KVAC Class B championship, the Class B West sportsmanship award and were the regional runners-up in the tournament.
