Students from Warren Community School held their annual Arts Night March 14.
The event encompassed visual as well as musical talents of the kindergarten through sixth-grade student body, of which there are currently 352.
The sixth-graders, who are raising money for their annual class trip this spring, sponsored the spaghetti supper, a raffle and silent auction. Donations for the raffle were given by: Applebee's Neighborhood Grill, Hannaford, Wasses Hot Dogs, Dunkin' Donuts, Moose Crossing Garden Center, Peter Ott's Steakhouse, and Lincoln Country Store.
A book fair was also available for participants.
Laura Freeman, art teacher and Sybil Wentworth, music teacher worked with WCS students to ready them for the entertaining evening.
A special song was sung by the third- and fourth-grade chorus. "We Can" was a song composed by fourth-grade student Alexis Nickles.
"I was staying at a cottage and listening to the river and ocean," Nickles said, when she decided to write the song "about you can do anything."
The total amount raised by the sixth-graders at the event has yet to be determined.
