Aylene Elizabeth Krise (Elwell) passed away March 12, 2013 in Harrisburg, Pa. at the age of 81.
Born Jan. 22, 1932, she was the third child born to Erwin R. and Gladys M. (McLean-Hurley) Elwell. She attended Brunswick schools and graduated from Sullivan High School and lived in Midcoast Maine most of her life. She was employed at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut, a veterans home in Chelsea, several garment factories and retired from Bath Iron Works. She enjoyed shopping for bargains, traveling and sewing.
She was predeceased by two brothers, William W. Elwell of Massachusetts on Feb. 14, 1986 and Robert L. Elwell of Brunswick on June 11, 1995; one sister Willa "Auntie" M. Elwell of Brunswick on Feb. 25, 2000; two sons, Kenneth James Krise on Dec. 25, 1966 and Raymond Joseph Krise of South Portland on July 2, 2008.
She was a mother of eight and is survived by one brother, John “Jack” Elwell of Utah; six children, Janet Elizabeth Cole (Krise) of Florida, George Andrew Krise of Maine, Louise Marie Krise of Maine, Brenda Mae Walborn (Krise) of Pennsylvania, Brian Paul Krise of Maine, Jacquelyn Elaine Locke (Robinson) of Maine. Twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Maine at a future date.
