Rita Elizabeth Amoruso Masiello, beloved wife of R.J. Masiello of Rockport, passed away March 3, 2013.

Rita served as a civilian hematologist tech in the U.S. Signal Corps during World War II at the Signal Corps Depot in Philadelphia and later as a hematologist in the Bronx Hospital in New York City.

In 1945, she married R.J. Masiello and they resided in New York City, Bethesda, Md.; Pittsburgh; Tulsa, Okla. and Dallas, Texas, assisting her husband at airline bases at these locations.

Rita had lived in Camden and then Rockport since 1985 and was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Camden.

Surviving is her husband, R.J. Masiello of Rockport; her daughter, Janet Moore of Bodega Bay, Calif.; and two sisters, Vivian Conte of Joliet, Ill.; and Joan Iserroli of Iserroli of Flohan, N.J. She was predeceased by a son, Richard John Masiello and a daughter, Robin Anasazi.

Private services were held at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Camden and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
