A 32 year-old Rockland man will spend 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a  toddler.

Ryan Withee pleaded guilty in Knox County Superior Court March 4 to a class A gross sexual assault charge. A second charge of unlawful sexual contact was dismissed, according to court documents.

When Withee is released from prison, in 2023, he will be on supervised release for 25 years.

In June 2012, Rockland police responded to a call from a residence where the incident occurred. After speaking with individuals at the home, detectives concluded Withee had committed a sex crime against a female victim less than age 12, said court documents. The child was 3 years old.

Withee was arrested June 9.

Withee was represented by attorney Aaron Fethke of Searsport.
