A two-car crash on Route 1 Feb. 25 sent one person to the hospital.
George McLain, 68, of Thomaston was traveling south on Route 1, near Montpelier when his Silver Nissan pickup truck stopped short for the traffic light and was struck from behind by a 2005 Ford Escape driven by Scott Curit, 31, of Camden.
Thomaston Police Chief Kevin Haj said both vehicles sustained approximately $2,000 in damages. McLain was taken by ambulance to Pen Bay Medical Center for complaints of a back injury.
