It was a forgettable few recent days for the Oceanside and Medomak Valley golf teams.

On the links Sept. 20, both the Mariners and Panthers fell in a pair of road matches against Messalonskee of Oakland and Waterville, 8-1 and 7-2, respectively. Medomak Valley also dropped a 6-3 decision to Belfast Sept. 19.

The following is a recap of reported results:

Messalonskee 8, Oceanside 1

At Belgrade Lakes Golf Club Sept. 20, the Mariners (6-3) could not ground the high-flying Eagles and lost their third match of the season. Messalonskee won with the help of a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 170 to 187.

Oceanside's Nick Mazurek shot 39 to earn medalist honors.

The individual results, with Mariners listed first, were: Mazurek (39) defeated Mustin Rollins (42), 2-1; Reilly Flanagan (45) lost to Taylor Clark (42), 2-1; Jordan Carter (51) lost to Brendon Bouchard (50), 4-3; Zeke Hamlin (52) lost to Billy Rollins (43), 4-2; J.T. Tobin (69) lost to Derek Guerette (43), 4-2; and Anthony Dayboch (59) lost to Nick Labun (53), 2-up.

Waterville 7, Medomak Valley 2

At Waterville Golf Club Sept. 20, the Purple Panthers prevailed over the winless Panthers (0-7). Waterville won with the help of a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 220 to 232.

Waterville's Sam Wehry shot 49 to earn medalist honors.

The individual results, with Purple Panthers listed first, were; Adam Wilcox (50) lost to Wehry (49); Aaron Smeltzer (55) defeated Will Bolduc; and J.P. Lobley (58) defeated C.J. Gaunce (60). Waterville's Adam Barre (62) and Lauren Hallenback (54) won by forfeit over Medomak Valley.

Belfast 6, Medomak Valley 3

At Rockland Golf Club Sept. 19, the Lions (3-3) roared to victory over the winless Panthers. Belfast prevailed with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 210 of 214.

Medomak Valley's Adam Wilcox and Belfast's Alex Fritz were co-medalists on the day, both shooting 50.

The individual results, with Lions listed first, were: Larry Dyer (57) lost to Aaron Smeltzer (56); Jack Smith (51) lost to Wilcox (50); Fritz (50) beat J.P. Lobley (55); Doyle Bailey (57) lost to Tyler Emerson (53); Logan Mitchell (52) beat Alex Benner (64); and Josh Adams (67) won by forfeit.
