Camden Hills Regional High School field hockey players will sponsor a free field hockey program for girls in kindergarten through eighth grade. Program directors are Windjammer varsity coach Jan Holmes-Jackson and jayvee coach Kim Nason.

The program runs Wednesday nights Sept. 5 through Oct. 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the high school field hockey field.

Players will be divided into groups: Dribblers for kindergarten through third graders; Dodgers, grades 4-5; and Hitters, grades 6-8. Players should bring their own mouth guard and shin guards. Players also should bring a friend to participate in the program.

The plan is to hold Sunday games with programs from Oceanside, Belfast, Mount View and Lincoln Academy of Newcastle, with times and locations to be determined.
