The Midcoast Breast Cancer Classic and Keenan’s Irish Open were the tournaments on tap over the weekend at the Rockland Golf Club.

On Aug. 17 in the Midcoast Breast Cancer Classic, the women’s team of Helen Plourd, Jean Sweetser, Marie Cates and Shirley Kile at 66; the men’s team of Dwight Stanley, Andrew McCaffrey, Garrett Hilchey and Josh Miller at 60; and the mixed team of Mitch Perry, Della Weeks, Andrew Weeks and Dean Snell at 65 all finished first in their divisions.

The foursome of Jan Splaine, Jan Bradeen, Joanna Schleif and Diane Bryant recorded the highest score. The longest drives were hit by Brian King (men) and Sheila Marriner (women), while the putting contest was won by Janice Morong. The flamingo prizes went to Donni Witham, Joan Hall and Lynn Williams.

On Aug. 18 in Keenan’s Irish Open, the flight winners were:

Flight 1 — Rich Mazurek and Nick Mazurek, first gross 66; Tim Flanagan and Bob Sommers, second gross 67; Skip Heald and Steve Deutsch, third gross 70; Vic Goldsmith and Sean Forde, first net 58; Benji Blake and Heath Commeau, second net 58.5; and George Carpenter and Don Hastings, third net 58.5. The highest score was recorded by Tim Forti and Brian Williams at 81.

Flight 2 — Paul Bourgeois and Dick Lombardi, first gross 73; Dylan White and Hugh White, second gross 74; Earl Fargo and Bob Cremonni, third gross 79; Jay Carroll and Mike Harkins, first net 57.5; Tom Levasseur and Bruce McAfee, second net 61; and Karl Kehler and Rick Cowan, third net 62. The highest score was recorded by Jim Hall and Carl Griffith at 85.

Flight 3 — Jan Staples and Steve Staples, first gross 76; Jim Raye and Julie Raye, second gross 78; Walter Lasota and Jim Vickerson, third gross 78; Ernie Benner and Mary Benner, first net 55.5; Kim Welt and Lynn Williams, second net 57; and Len Goeke and Virginia Goeke, third net 59.5. The highest score was recorded by Jarrett Widdecombe and Jamey Lombardo at 96.

The shortest drives were hit by Mark McKeon and Janice Ogier. The pin winners were: Bourgeois, 5 feet 7 inches and Becky Gamage, 5-10, both on the fifth hole; Carpenter, 7-2 on the 10th; and Earl Fargo, 5-1.5, and Madolin Fogarty, 20-11, both on the 18th.
