A two-car collision at the intersection of Route 1 and Main Street in Rockport on Feb. 25 resulted in one woman being transported to Pen Bay Medical Center with a hurt knee.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. when a 2005 Nissan Quest, operated by Jill Maier of Connecticut, collided with a 1999 Dodge Caravan, operated by Judith Truesdell, of Camden. Maier had been heading east on Main Street, while Truesdell was traveling along Route 1.

Maier and her passengers were beginning their trip home to Connecticut when the accident occurred, said Sgt. Travis Ford, of the Rockport Police Department. The air bags deployed in the Nissan and the Dodge was damaged in the front end.

Truesdell was transported by Camden First Aid Association to Pen Bay Medical Center with knee pain. Rockport Fire Department and Rockport police responded to the accident.
