On Saturday, October 22, the Farnsworth Art Museum invites everyone to attend the inaugural Fall Family Festival, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grounds of the downtown museum. The festival is intended for families with children age 4 to 9 and is free of charge, with a suggested donation of $5.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Farnsworth’s sculpture garden will be transformed into the festival grounds with a fall labyrinth constructed by Shore Village Builders Inc. of Rockland, strolling magician Rick Bernard, free-style pumpkin carving, decorating trick-or-treat bags, face painting, fall-themed cupcakes and cider sold by The Maine Cupcake Co. and fresh pizza made and sold on site by The Uproot Pie Co.

Later on, all are invited back to the sculpture garden at dusk for the lighting of the pumpkins (weather permitting.) In case of rain, all activities will take place at the Gamble Center for Education on Grace Street. For more information, visit thefarnsworthmuseum.org or contact Special Events Manager Niki Janczura at 596-6457, ext. 143.
