New online Peachtree Accounting class

ROCKPORT — Five Town CSD Adult Ed has a program that makes it easy to take high-quality, noncredit online courses. They have partnered with ed2go to offer hundreds of online, instructor-led courses and are pleased to announce the launch of “Introduction to Peachtree Accounting 2012.”

 

Participants in this course will learn to handle accounting tasks quickly and easily with Peachtree Accounting 2012. With the help of step-by-step instructions, they’ll master everything from setting up accounts to creating invoices, printing checks, paying bills, and generating financial reports.

Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Series continues at Teen Center

CAMDEN — Five Town CSD Adult and Community Education began a new Lunch and Learn series at the Teen Center in downtown Camden this fall. The Teen Center, run by the Penobscot Bay YMCA, is located at 10 Knowlton St. with easy parking and access.

Among the upcoming Lunch and Learns is a gardening lecture series on Tuesdays Putting the Gardens to Bed by Rebecca Jacobs on Oct. 18, Plant Propagation by Cuttings by Carol Yee on Nov. 1, and Tool Sharpening for Gardeners, also Carol Yee, on Nov. 8.

Other Lunch and Learn classes are Annuities for Retirement by Ken Gardiner on Oct. 11; Yoga is for Everyone by Erika Manning on Oct.19; Alleviating Arthritis Naturally with Dr. Eric Betz on Nov. 4; Estate Planning with Ken Gardiner on Nov. 8; and Smart Choices in Retirement by Jerod Cronkite on Dec. 13.
