Camden Hills Regional High School students will be selling Rebuild Raffle tickets to help Susie and Kevin O’Brien on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Bagel Cafe in Camden.

The raffle will help raise funds for the O’Briens, whose Searsmont home was destroyed in a Sept. 11 fire. The newly married couple lost all of their wedding gifts and all of their personal belongings. Fortunately the couple and their animals escaped unharmed.

Susie, the daughter of Mike and Chris Tofani, grew up in Camden, graduated from Camden Hills in 2000 and is currently a speech therapist at the Child Development Services in Rockland. Kevin, her husband, recently moved to the area and works at athenahealth in Belfast.

The new owners of the Bagel Cafe, Bruce and Julie Ottamano, are pleased to host the student-run raffle table.

Winning tickets for the Rebuild Raffle will be drawn during the Adventure Auction on Friday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at High Mountain Hall in Camden, also to benefit the O’Briens.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join the festivities. Please visit the O’Briens’ website to find out more ways to support this young couple in their time of need, susieandkevinobrien.wordpress.com.
