On Thursday, Oct. 13, the Cushing Historical Society holds its final meeting of the season with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a dish for six people, and their own plates and flatware.

The evening’s program begins at 7:30 p.m. following a short business meeting. The public is welcome and the program is free. A video titled “Arts in the Barn 2011” will be offered. It was created by Howie Weisbrot, who is retired from the film business, and a member of the AICE Hall of Fame as a supervising editor. Anya Aboud did most of the photography and editing. It was produced by Howie’s wife Trish Weisbrot, chairperson of the Arts-in-the-Barn Committee. This montage of local artists and authors also includes coverage of the auction, all accompanied by entertaining background music.

A short version of this tour and historical record of the year’s creative activities in Cushing can be viewed on the Society’s website. For more information, call 354-0735 or go to cushinghistoricalsociety.org.
