The Fabulous Food of the Midcoast gala event Thursday, Oct. 6 at Point Lookout in Northport will feature both silent and live auction of donated art works, fine crafts, services and more.

The event, a benefit for Broadreach Family & Community Services, will begin with food from local restaurants and opening of the silent auction at 5:30 p.m.; the live auction begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 pre-ordered, $30 at the door. There will be close to two dozen participating restaurants, pubs and caterers offering everything from appetizers to desserts, served in a buffet setting. Music will be provided by Belfast music stalwarts Ando Anderson and Jeff Densmore. The live auction will be conducted by Belfast City Councilor Eric Sanders.

Donated art covers a range of media and styles. The growing list of artists includes Abigail Billington of Rockland; John Bisignano of Owls Head; Nancy Button of Warren; Sandy Dolan of Searsport; Charles Laurier Dufour, David Estey, Susan Tobey White and Peg Worth of Belfast; Dianne Horton of Swanville; Dan Kirchoff of Hope; Ben Magro of Appleton; David Ruberti of Belfast; Marjorie Strauss and Herbert J. Cole of Rockland; and Winnie Easton-Jones of Rockport.

A complete listing of participating eateries and auction items will be available on the event website, ffom.brmaine.org. The event’s art gallery will be located on the Erickson Hall veranda. All art work will be offered in silent auction with a minimum bid price.
