The Humane Society of Knox County’s 2012 Pet Calendar will be making its official debut at a Calendar Release Party at the Reading Corner on Main Street in Rockland on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are invited to attend the event.

Mr. July, a dashingly adorable dog named Harley, will be in attendance and will be offering pawtographs to commemorate the special day. Refreshments will also be served. The calendar features beautiful photos of pets from HSKC supporters as well as shelter animals that have been adopted.

”We are very proud of this calendar”, said Tracy Sala, executive director, in a news release. “We were thrilled to receive rave reviews of the calendar at a sneak peak preview at our recent Fur ‘n Foliage Dog Walk. We hope people will be inspired to buy this calendar which supports their community animal shelter and to sign up to feature their pet(s) in our 2013 calendar.”

Calendars can be purchased for $10. They make wonderful gifts and 100 percent of the sale of the calendars will go toward helping the homeless animals at HSKC get the care they deserve. Also available will be forms to reserve your pet’s spot in the 2013 calendar. Calendars will also be available for purchase at the shelter facility, The Reading Corner, The Loyal Biscuit, and Harbor Road Veterinary Hospital or place an order at Supplies are limited so buy now and buy often.
