Environmental educator Sarah Lambson will lead a night hike for families at Merryspring Nature Center on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Participants will experience the wonders of the night with their eyes and ears as they venture into the woods of Merryspring for a sensory night hike. While humans shut down for the night, the natural world comes to life. Participants will learn about the five senses and how different animals adjust to the darkest hours. The group will play some games to learn how animals look for food at night, and take a little time to gaze up at the stars.

This is a free family program offered to people of all ages, but it is not appropriate for very young children who might be uncomfortable in the darkness. Bring a flashlight or headlamp. For more information, call Merryspring at 236-2239 or visit merryspring.org.
