The Monday night blues series continues Oct. 3 with Mr. Nick & the Dirty Tricks playing from 7 to 10 p.m. in the upstairs music room of Time Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $10.

Mr. Nick & the Dirty Tricks unites veteran musicians Nick David (a.k.a. Mr. Nick), “Lonely” Gus Carlson, Teddy B. (Bukowski) and Rick Rousseau. The result is one of New England’s most formidable live outfits in any genre, but their hearts belong to blues. The band plays elegant, stomping and swinging classics by the likes of Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf and Wynonie Harris and a mix of original rumbas, jump blues and boogies.

“This band is a killer outfit,” says David, who led the popular and critically acclaimed Mr. Nick’s Blues Mafia.

Also set to kill during a special Friday night concert Oct. 7 is Anthony Gomes ($15). For more information, visit the Time Out Blues link on
