Catinka Knoth will demonstrate drawing and painting October’s autumn themes, with a focus on drawing in color, Mondays at 11 a.m. in the Friends Community Room of Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St. There will be no class on Columbus Day, Oct. 10.

Led by Knoth, participants will create their own  colored drawings of apple motifs, fall leaves, autumn landscape scenes and Halloween pumpkins. If time allows, Knoth will demonstrate watercolor techniques. The classes, which Knoth provides free of charge to the general public with materials supplied, are hosted by the Friends of Rockland Library.

Each week will have a different fall subject: Oct. 3, apples and apple trees; Oct. 17, autumn leaves; Oct. 24, fall scenes; and Oct. 31, Halloween pumpkins. For more information, call Knoth at 596-0069 the library at 594-0310.
