The Waldoboro Police Department reported the following activity from Sept. 12 through Sept. 20.

Sept. 12

Officer Thomas Bartunek arrested Ryan Ames, 23, of Rockland for a violation of conditional release.

Sept. 13

Officer Sean Kozer investigated a report from a resident that she is being harassed. A harassment order has been issued.

Officer Kozer is investigating a report from a resident that someone broke into his residence and stole some money and medication.

Officer Bartunek summoned Michael Clinton, 24, of Billingham, Mass., for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Officer Bartunek investigated an accident on Washington Road at 6:04 p.m. Michael Clinton, 24, of Bellingham, Mass., was driving a 2000 Honda passenger car. David Swetnam of Waldoboro owns a 2007 Dodge van. Clinton was traveling south on Washington Road, left the roadway, and struck the van, which was legally parked.

Sept. 14

Officer Jeremy Joslyn arrested Michelle Taylor, 39, of Waldoboro for domestic violence criminal threatening.

Detective Lance Mitchell summoned Koren Brezniak, 27, of Waldoboro for theft.

Officer Kozer arrested Michelle Taylor, 39, of Waldoboro for a violation of conditional release.

Officer Jeremy Joslyn arrested James Ezzell, 30, of Wiscasset for a violation of conditional release and theft.

Sept. 16

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 12:09 p.m. Richard McIntire, 66, of Amherst, Mass., was driving a 2005 Mercury passenger car. Scott Cleaves, 49, of Waldoboro was driving a 2010 medium/heavy truck. McIntire appeared to be making a left turn into the Irving and then turned right, colliding with the side of the tractor causing damage to both vehicles.

Sept. 17

Officer Fuller investigated an accident on Washington Road at 8:52 a.m. Jose Burgos, 51, of Waldoboro was driving a 1992 GMC pickup truck. Lyn Bass, 42, of Waldoboro was driving a 1997 Toyota passenger car. The operators backed into each other while backing out of driveways across the street from each other.

Officer Joslyn investigated an accident at the Union Road/Chapel Road intersection. Brian Sorrentino, 23, of Washington was driving a 2002 Dodge pickup truck. Gordon Groff, 75, of Virginia Beach, Va., was driving a 2010 Cadillac sport-utility vehicle. Sorrentino was driving northwest on Manktown Road. Groff was driving north on Union Road. Sorrentino failed to yield at a stop sign. Groff struck Sorrentino on the driver’s side. Sorrentino spun off the road. Groff spun into the opposing lane of travel. The Dodge came to rest off the road after striking a tree. The Cadillac came to rest in the opposing lane of travel.

Officer Joslyn summoned Brian Sorrentino, 23, of Washington for failing to yield at a stop sign.

Sept. 19

Officer Fuller is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of her car stereo from her vehicle.

Officer Fuller is investigating a report from a resident that she was assaulted.

Officer Bartunek is investigating a $100 theft from Maritime Farms.

Sept. 20

Officer Jeremy Joslyn arrested Jesse Grinnell, 21, of Lincolnville for unlawful possession of certain synthetic hallucinogenic drugs, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, and intentionally failing to give correct name/address/date of birth.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
