Merryspring Nature Center will present a free screening of the film “Dirt! The Movie” Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. “Dirt!” is the fifth film in Merryspring’s new series that focuses on a variety of nature and conservation-centered films. There is no admission fee, but donations are appreciated.

“Dirt! The Movie” is an entertaining documentary that takes viewers deep down into the world of soil. This underappreciated substance is one of the most important resources we have. It is surprising the impacts our social, environmental, political and economic choices have on what we tread under our feet. Narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis, “Dirt! The Movie” brings to light what dirt is and its importance to the lives of everyone and everything on our planet.

Popcorn and drinks will be provided by Merryspring. Early arrival is recommended, as seating is limited. To learn more about this screening, visit merryspring.org or call 236-2239. Merryspring is a member-supported, non-profit nature education center and park located at the end of Conway Road, just off Route 1 by the Hannaford shopping plaza.
